Six Indicted In Biloxi Insurance Fraud Case

Six Biloxi residents have been indicted on charges which allege that they filed fraudulent insurance claims from traffic accidents.

Each of the six was indicted on insurance fraud, conspiracy to commit insurance fraud and wire fraud. They could be facing up to 13 years in prison.

The lawsuit alleges that all six filed fraudulent medical and injury claims of about $40,000 from two traffic accidents.

While insurance fraud has happened in Alabama before, it has become an increasingly common crime due to tough economic times. Committing insurance fraud continues to be a nationwide issue.
