According to WKRG, Mobile police officers will be conducting safety checkpoints on Thursday, February 28. The purpose of the checkpoints is to ensure citizen safety and that drivers are following the state and local traffic laws.
Police officers will be checking for seat belt use, child restraints and other safety features. Additionally, they will also be checking that motorists are carrying registration, proof of insurance and valid driver’s licenses.
At Citrin Law Firm, we urge all Alabama residents to buckle up every time they get into a car. Studies have proven that wearing seat belt can prevent fatal injuries when occupants are involved in collisions.
