Mobile Crime Has Decreased Since Last Year

Recent statistics show that crime in Mobile, Alabama has decreased by 32 percent from this time last year.  This includes homicides decreasing 66 percent from this time in 2012, aggravated assaults are down 30 percent, and the amounts of rapes are down 44 percent.

The report shows that all other Part I crimes are down by 14 percent as well. These crimes include forcible rape, murder, robbery, burglary, arson, larceny, car theft, and aggravated assault. The crimes are down from 51 to 44 per 1000 people, compared to last year.

These numbers help to demonstrate the increase in safety throughout the city of Mobile and an increase in police protection.  This data was gathered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is assembled by reports by the local and state agencies.
