Fatal Bus Vs. Car Accident in Orange Beach

A bus collided with a car on Monday near the 27,000 block of Perdido Beach Boulevard in Orange Beach.  The accident took the life of one individual and stalled traffic for several hours during the evening commute. Police have not released further details at this time; however the next of kin has been notified.

In the United States there are approximately 9,000 bus accidents each year, resulting in 12,000 injuries and an average of 330 deaths. Statistics provided by the Center for National Truck and Bus Safety show that the most common fatal bus related accidents involve a bus colliding with a car.
